The desert and mountains were beautiful. we arrived at our hotel, Hotel Santa Fe, that afternoon. It's the only Native American owned hotel in Santa Fe.

we took a short nap then got dressed for dinner which was at The Bull Ring. There we met many of our fellow Texans with the Texas Historical Foundation and had a great meal. They even had a vegetarian plate for me! This is me posing with my THF name badge after dinner.

Friday, all the members of THF, about 70 of us, boarded two charter buses and drove out to Glorieta to tour a private museum and learn about the Battle of Glorieta Pass. (New Mexicans and Texans have a long tumultuous history.)
