Our front door.
The treats we are giving away this year. I don't think we'll get many trick-or-treaters so I splurged on treat bags
Halloween cards I received this year!
A close-up of the wreath I made.
Yesterday was my 27th birthday! I had a great day! Went to lunch with my mom at Chuy's and she got me a blender! yess. I've been wanting to make smoothies and we never got a blender when we got married. Then Jon and I went car shopping. We looked at GMC (crap), Hyundi ( I really really like the Elantra Touring), and Honda ( CRV's are really nice). I've got to say car shopping is pretty fun so far, the sales people aren't as bad as I was expecting, in fact we've had some really nice ones and they weren't pushy at all. My b-day present from Jon is going to be car but we haven't decided which one yet. Next weekend we are going to look at Toyota (Yaris Sedan, Matrix, Corolla and Rav4). Then we'll make a decision by Nov.1 and I'll have my new car! :) :) After car shopping we had dinner with Jon's family at BJ's and they each gave me a gift. His mom got me a Chi hair straightener and his dad got me CHANEL SUNGLASSES!! pretty awesome!
It was also Jon and I's one year wedding anniversary!
Our trip to Fredericksburg was a lot of fun! We woke up at 5:30am on Friday and left our apt. around 6:30am. We got to Johnson City around Noon and fished at the Pedernales State Park until dark. It was so beautiful there, the pictures just don't do it justice.
Fredericksburg was about an hour west of the park and we arrived the Inn around 8:30pm. Our room was so cute. It fit my style perfectly and I couldn't have been happier about it. The tub was jacuzzi and the bed was so soft and comfortable.
The next day Jon woke up early to go fishing again, but I stayed at the hotel and slept in. When he got back we walked around town and then headed to Oktoberfest!
On Sunday we packed up and hit the road again, headed for home!
I'd also like to mention we rented a car for the 5 hour long drive and we got the cheapest one possible and it ended up being a Toyota Yaris. We were kinda nervous about driving such a tiny car because it's not the safest option in giant-truck-land also we were concerned about the comfort level, buut we were both quite surprised out how nice it was to use for such a long road trip. Way too small for us on a day-to-day basis because there is no trunk at all but I could see it's purposes for someone who doesn't lug shit around everywhere.
Yeah this might be a big fashion no-no, but I love me some seasonal socks! Sorry Stacy and Clinton but they make me feel all warm and festive inside. I honestly don't know who can resist socks with little Jack-'o-lanterns printed all over them. And they were a only $1 ta boot! Thanks Target! Happy October!
