Weekend

This weekend was great. Paper Heart turned out to be a really cute movie! I recommend seeing it. On Saturday my friend Claudia, who I recently re-connected with (yay!), came over and cut J's hair. She did a great job! I can't wait till my hair grows out longer so I can get her to cut it too! Yesterday, I tortured J with antique shopping. Hehe. We went to Downtown Plano. I love the old buildings and feel of the square.



After that we made our way to an indoor marketplace which had these awesome murals.




We went to tons of stores finding deals on patio furniture and came home with this!


I'm so excited about this cooler weather and being able to enjoy our balcony now! I want to get some greenery and pillows for the chairs and a chiminea!

Friday Night

I found this brown Chihuahua pillow and HAD to buy it! It goes perfectly in the computer/craft/guest room!





Well off for friday night movie and dinner. We are going to see Paper Heart, I hope it's good!

I discovered a Hobby Lobby

I discovered a Hobby Lobby near my new home and I spent a couple of hours wandering the aisles. I love Hobby Lobby. It's so much better than Michael's. I decided my craft for the week would be to make a wreath for our front door. We recently bought a teal and brown "welcome" door mat so I picked the same colors for the wreath. This is the finished product! It took about an hour to complete.



I plan on making Halloween and Christmas themed wreaths in the near future. Which I'm really excited about!

Fredericksburg, Texas

About a week ago we made reservations at The Roadrunner Inn for our one year anniversary coming up this October. I'm really looking forward to it. Fredericksburg is a really cute town. We picked the first weekend in October, 1. because it's Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg. 2. because during our actual anniversary my brother-in-law will be staying with us. The Inn is located on Main St. and I think there are only 3 or 4 rooms, B&B style. Here are some pics of the place:

Living Dead in Dallas

J surprised me with these last week. I started reading the first book but it's exactly like the first season (True Blood) so I'm not sure if I should just skip to the second book. But then I worry there might be something in the book not like the show and I'll miss it! Agghh!

I ordered the CUTEST change of address announcements, um such a sucker for stationery! I use tinyprints alot they have great stuff! I can't wait till they come in!

The Time Traveler's Wife

Internet again! Hallelujah! Quick update before we head to Campisi's with the fam.
Jon and I have been seeing tons of movies lately. One in particuar I had been waiting for over a year to be released.



I loved it! Of course the book is better but you can't fit every detail in a movie, and I thought it was adapted well! I cried the last 30 minutes and I think every woman in the theater was crying along with me. What did everyone else think?

I Love Brunch

The last couple of weeks have been busy but great! I've been spending lots of time wih my in-laws. They have put me to work and I've enjoyed being able to help them and earn a little money ta boot! I love living in Plano. The only bad part is being so far away from my momma. :( Last Saturday we had a girls day out. I got my hair cut and a mani/pedi. I feel so purty now! My sister-in-law came in town from her home of LA on Saturday and we all went out to brunch at Lawry's. I had never been there and it as really yummy! Here is a pic of Jon and I with full bellies.
