Omygosh. Screen printing is hard. I'm on my third try, I really hope to get it right this time. I have very little patience and I'm already getting frustrated. I feel like taking it and beating it to pieces like the scene in Office Space with the fax machine. lol.
Aren't these tattoos pretty? I don't know who's they are (weheartit) but I love them. I want a crafty tattoo someday!
I'm so excited for March. I want Spring to come and SUMMER! I'm sick of being stuck inside and Texas is so beautiful in the warm months.
I forgot to post pictures of my crochet throw pillows when I finished them so there they are. The one with little granny squares turned out really messy so I'll probably re-do that one eventually. The big granny square is different on the opposite side making it reversible. I still need to sew some plaid pillowcases and some more throw pillows. Hopefully I'll get to that this week.
Today I have been just sitting around crafting and watching the Olympics. I just wanted to make a quick post before I have to go make dinner for the hubby who is giving me devil eyes right now.
I was inspired by The Purl Bee's Valentine Heart Pins and decided to make my own version. Not as fab as theirs but still pretty darn cute. I'll be wearing it all day tomorrow.
I also made both the girls crochet heart necklaces. I found a mini heart pattern HERE. They will be stylin'.
Last but not least!Check out these amazingly cute v-day notes that Lindsay of Her Sunday Dress drew! I love them!
This week has been really fun so far. I've been staying at my mom's just hanging out and spending time together. Monday we went and had manicures and played bingo. I won one game too! Yesterday we drove to a little historic town and stayed at a B&B and today we went shopping and saw The Lovely Bones. Tomorrow we are getting our hair cut . I miss my dogs so much! I miss my husband too!
Update on the Bluebell situation. After spending most of the afternoon at the Vet's Office. They found that she has Colitis. So she is on a special diet and antibiotics and she should be feeling better in a couple of days. I'm really happy it's nothing too serious.
Jon and I watched Julie & Julia last week and I was completely inspired by the style of Julie. I loved her apartment, it was so cute! Especially her bedroom area. My husband won't be happy about this but I want to re do our bedroom. Right now it's so boring and doesn't feel cozy at all. Our sheets are so dingy and ugly it's sad. I want our bedroom to be granny chic + 80s camper aka floral sheets, crochet pillows, with some plaid mixed in. I'll probably start gathering materials soon so I can make the pillows my self and start searching for unused vintage floral sheets. I'm not sure where to find unused vintage floral sheets...ebay i guess?
Yay! I reached my goal of 50 followers! I will post my giveaway on Friday and pick a winner on Sunday. Me and momma are having a girls day next week, going antiquing and staying at a Bed & Breakfast in a little town south of DFW. I'm excited! We made reservations today. February is going to be a very busy month full of fun things!
Yep I'm officially a crazy dog person! I ordered puppy announcement cards for Bluebell to send to friends and family. Hahaha! They came out completely beautiful though and I'm so happy with them. I ordered them fromPhoto Affections!

I love love Emma Pillsbury's style on Glee and the other day I was at Target and they have so many cute spring cardigans, sweaters, trenches, tops etc..that are totally Emma worthy and the prices are amazing! I bought 5 colorful pieces and one was a mustard colored cardigan that was on clearance for $5. woohoo! I'll have to post pictures as I wear them, all though no promises because I'm not really into that, but on my East Texas post I am wearing a pink button up shirt and that is one of them! I love Target so much.
I got a ginormous bag of pecans from Jon's Grandpa during Christmas that he shelled himself and Candy told me I should make Pecan Divinity and since it's one of my favorite sweets ever I decided I definitely needed to make them. My husband calls it angel poop! It turned out soo good! They were incredibly easy to make. This is the recipe I used (from All Recipes.com.)
2 cups sugar 1 cup water 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
In a large heavy saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Cook over medium heat, without stirring, until a candy thermometer reads 250 degrees F (hard-ball stage). Remove from the heat; stir in marshmallow cream, vanilla and pecans. Continue stirring until candy cools and begins to hold its shape when dropped from a spoon. Quickly drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Please consider either donating a handmade item, or making a purchase.

I've been catching up on all the blogs I read. Whew, it's very time consuming! I discovered I was tagged byAshley to post 7 random facts about myself. So here it goes!
1. I grind my teeth when I sleep, which is really bad for me but I don't care to wear a mouth guard at night.
2. I'm vegetarian but I eat very unhealthy things. Mostly carbs and starches and sugars. This is all catching up to me now that I'm in my late 20s and it sucks.
3. I'm half mexican. Not like real mexican, I don't speak spanish and it's not like my mom was born there, in fact my mom is 4th generation Texan but that's my heritage. I always get asked "what i am" because I obviously look not-quite-white.
4. I have a psychology degree. I don't know why.
5. I love getting mail and sending mail and buying cute packing materials.
6. My hair color is completely natural, it hasn't been completely natural since 6th grade. It's weird, but the texture is so different. It's softer and styles better.
